A fan of the spotlight for as long as he can remember, Grant James is a born performer. Having studied drama for many years he has performed in numerous amateur productions including Guys & Dolls and Joseph. He has also taken part in the famous ‘Winter Gardens Drama Festival’ and has landed both 1st and 3rd place with two separate pieces… in the same year! Grant’s love of drama and music have shaped him over the years into an incredibly confident and charismatic singer who loves absolutely nothing more than to see his audience dancing and swinging along with his performance.

With musical inspiration from some of the coolest men who ever lived; The Rat Pack, Bobby Darin, and Michael Bublé, as well as his all time hero Billy Joel and many others, Grant James will do everything possible to ensure that whether you are 17 or 70, Guy or Doll, “You have a damn good time, and have a damn good time doing it.”

“My name is Grant James, I’m a swing/jazz vocalist based in Bournemouth on the South Coast of England. I have been singing and performing in one way or another from a very young age and as a result, I feel very comfortable in front of audiences both large and small, young and old. The swing and jazz genres are where I excel, and I feel perfectly at home singing the songs from one of the coolest eras of music of all time.

I have had the pleasure of singing these incredible songs professionally for over 2 years now, and have sang in many amazing venues for some fantastic causes.

I have performed at some oustanding events over the last few years, including the Cicely Foundations Charity Ball at the famous Royal Bath Hotel, The Help For Heroes Event at HMS Collingwood, and the massive Bournemouth Air Festival to name just a few.”
